Recently, “Zhenhua 15” carrying the third batch of 2 quay cranes and 3 single-cantilever RMG cranes for the Vizhinjam Port project of Adani Group in India successfully sailed from the wharf of ZPMC Changxing Branch.

There are 24 RMG cranes for the project, including 10 double-cantilever RMG cranes and 14 single-cantilever RMG cranes. The RMG cranes for the project have a rated load of 41 t with spreader, a track gauge of 36.54 m, a lifting height of 18.5m under the spreader and an outreach of 4.75 m for single/double cantilevers. With functions such as RFID, CCTV storage and RTLS real-time positioning, these RMG cranes are highly automated. The equipment for the project is scheduled to be shipped in 6 batches, and the first two batches have arrived at the user’s port. Delivery to the site is proceeding as planned.

The quay cranes for the project have a rated load of 65 t with spreader, a track gauge of 35 m, a lifting height of 53 m above the rail and 21 m under the rail, a front outreach of 72 m, and a back outreach of 20 m, making them the best quay cranes in India and setting a record for ZPMC in manufacturing quay cranes for India. The quay cranes equipped with a dual-track OCR system can improve the overall working efficiency, and its spreader can effectively solve problems such as container height difference, front-rear difference and angle difference. The optimized design of the quay cranes can further improve the working efficiency of the port and help the port to adapt to the development of large-scale container vessels.
