Recently, the JSD 6000 deep-water heavy lift pipelay vessel has successfully acquired the LR (Lloyd's Register) certification.

Independently designed and manufactured by ZPMC, the vessel has an overall length of 215.88 m, a beam of 49.00 m, a depth of 22.4 m, and a maximum draught of 10.8 m, and accommodates 399 POB in the living area. Equipped with a 5,000-ton full-circle slewing crane, J-lay and S-lay pipeline installation systems, and the internationally advanced 8-point mooring winch system and DP3 system, it can independently install pipelines in shallow, deep and ultra-deep waters, being able to install pipelines of 6 to 60 inches in diameter in a maximum water depth of 3,000 m. The vessel adopts the world's advanced marine technology, intelligent control system and high-strength materials, and can thus carry out efficient and safe operations in the world's deepest marine environment.

LR, as the world's leading provider of technical ship inspection services, has strict requirements for the safety, stability and environmental performance of ships. The success in acquiring the LR certification signifies LR's resident surveyor’s approval of the manufacturing process and excellent performance of the JSD6000 deep-water heavy lift pipelay vessel, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent delivery and operation of the project.

Once put into operation, the vessel will effectively enhance China's capabilities in deep-sea and far-sea pipelay and marine exploration and development, and consolidate ZPMC's leading position in the international high-end marine engineering field.
