The 2nd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation CEO Conference was held in
Beijing on April 25th, at which Gao Yunlong, Vice-chairman of CPPCC
National Committee and Chairman of Federation of Industry and Commerce and Xiao
Yaqing, Director of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration
Commission of the State Council were present. Liu Qitao, Secretary and Chairman
of CCCC, was present at the Conference at the invitation and made the keynote
speech. Zhu Lianyu, Secretary and Chairman of ZPMC and Liu Qizhong,
Vice-president of ZPMC were also present at the Conference and signed two contracts
on behalf of the Company.
The
first CEO Conference, a highlight of this Forum, is intended for the platform
on the mutual exchange, cooperation, contract signing and deepening cooperation
for the industrial and commercial circles of different countries, sharing the
opportunities brought about by the Belt and Road Initiative. Zhu signed the
contracts with PSA Tuas Terminal of Singapore and TIL of Israel for the total
contract price of $580million at the Conference, another achievement of the
Belt and Road Initiative.
PSA
Tuas Project of Singapore is the largest one of ZPMC this year, involving 28
STSs and 78 RTGs (including optional items) with the total contract price of
$500million. The Tuas Terminal will be an automatic one with 64 berthing
positions and the annual cargo handling capacity of 65million TEU, the largest
port project of ZPMC at present, after the automatic terminal of Shanghai
Yangshan Phase IV.
It’s
learned that to make better cooperation, ZPMC is planning to establish a branch
of Zhenhua Research Institute in Singapore PSA for mutual research on the
requirements of PSA in the future, including the new technical R&D and
technical problems solution, to promote the further cooperation of both parties
in the globe. ZPMC has supplied more than 300 pieces of port equipment since
entering the market of Singapore in 1994.
Israel
HCT Terminal project of TIL involves 8 STSs with the total contract price of
$80million, for which, ZPMC will supply advanced port machinery of the high
automation and with the remote-control functions.
TIL is
the port investment and operation company under MSC (Mediterranean Shipping
Company), developing in the whole world. It is the first cooperation between
ZPMC and TIL in the country of Israel. ZPMC has supplied 9 STSs and 22
automatic RMGs since entering the market of Israel officially in 2017.
ZPMC,
adhering to the principle of extensive consultation, joint contribution and
shared benefits, has been participating into the construction of the Belt and
Road after the Belt and Road Initiative. The Company, as the contributor,
participator and supplier of infrastructure connectivity, foreign contracting
and foreign investment, has been practicing the Belt and Road Initiative
strongly. The statistics shows that ZPMC has supplied more than 3,500 pieces of
equipment for 52 countries and regions along the routes of the Belt and Road.
Present
at the CEO Conference were 900 representatives from the governmental sectors,
business associations, companies of more than 80 countries and regions as well
as from related international organizations, including 90 Top 500 companies in
the world, more than 100 central companies and more than 200 private companies.
