Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (ZPMC)’s electrical control systems for ship-to-shore (STS) cranes and rubber-tired gantry (RTG) cranes have received Product Carbon Footprint Verification Statements from Bureau Veritas. The verification is the first certification of its kind for a key subcomponent within China’s port machinery sector.

Building on its carbon footprint management practices for STS, rail-mounted gantry (RMG), and RTG cranes, ZPMC has extended carbon accounting to key subsystems. The effort provides greater visibility into emissions associated with critical product components and expands the scope of the company’s product-level carbon management activities.

The verification provides independent confirmation of emissions data associated with ZPMC’s electrical control systems and supports broader efforts to improve carbon accounting and transparency across the port machinery industry.
