Recently, the self-propelled self-elevating offshore wind installation platform “Zhengli 3500”, independently developed by the company, has successfully completed the assembly of the three major crane components and is about to enter the rope reeving and commissioning phase.

The crane on this wind installation platform is a leg-encircling crane with the rated capacity of 3,500 tons. It features a 3,500-ton four-claw hook and a 1,200-ton Ramshorn hook at the boom head. It has self-upending capability for piles and a maximum lifting height of 160 meters above deck.

The self-propelled self-elevating offshore wind installation platform “Zhengli 3500” boasts the highest lifting capacity and strongest comprehensive operational capability among vessels of its type in China. It features capabilities for transporting and installing large-diameter monopiles and jacket foundations for 20 MW deep-water wind turbines, as well as full wind turbine installation. Suitable for unlimited navigation areas, it meets the demands of integrated deep-sea offshore wind power construction operations, further enhancing China’s capabilities in deep-sea wind power construction.

To ensure on-schedule completion of the assembly, the project team conducted advance planning and meticulous deployment. After six consecutive days and nights of intensive work, the assembly of the three major components was successfully completed, laying a solid foundation for the project’s on-time delivery.
