Recently, the world’s largest single-boom full-slewing crane vessel “Zhen Hua 30” successfully completed the load test of its 12,000-ton crane. The success of the test marks the official entry of the vessel’s MDR (Modernization and Upgrade) technical renovation project into its final stage. It not only fully verified the stability and load-bearing capacity of the crane system under extreme operating conditions, but also established a solid technical foundation for future offshore heavy-lift operations.

The load test lasted nearly one month in strict compliance with the dual standards of the China Classification Society (CCS) and the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) throughout the whole process. Systematic testing was conducted under multiple operating conditions and load levels. The main hook load test followed a stepwise incremental strategy, with loads increasing progressively from 5,500 tons to 7,700 tons, 11,000 tons, and finally the 13,200-ton overload test.

The successful completion of the load test represents not only a comprehensive validation of the crane system upgrade on “Zhen Hua 30”, but also a full-scale demonstration of the company’s project management capabilities, technical execution, and safety assurance systems. With superior performance, “Zhen Hua 30” will contribute to major national marine engineering projects, providing robust equipment support for building a strong maritime nation.
