Recently, 5 IGVs shuttle back and forth under the gantry boom at Guangzhou Port Nansha Phase IV Automobile Terminal, completing the loading and unloading task instructions issued by the system, marking the world's first gantry crane for IGV loading and unloading process is successfully put into operation.
By using the simulation environment, the technical team demonstrates and plans the traffic flow planning of the gantry crane berth, the target position of the IGV driving path, the IGV operation sequence, and the adjustment mechanism, which successfully realizes that the gantry crane in the local operation mode cooperates and interacts with intelligent guided vehicle (IGV), equipment control system (ECS), terminal operating system (TOS) and dispatching system.
The loading and unloading process has good economy and practicality. With the smooth production of this batch of gantry cranes, more comprehensive models have been put into the Guangzhou Port Nansha Phase IV Automobile Terminal project, which further improves the loading and unloading efficiency of a multi-ship parallel berth at the front of the wharf and realizes the transition from barge to liner in the process of domestic trade operation. This process not only helps Guangzhou Port Nansha Phase IV Automobile Terminal operate efficiently but also provides solutions and references for traditional small and medium-sized terminals to carry out automatic upgrading.
