Recently, the on-site completion acceptance meeting of the second generation kiloton class, high-efficiency screw ship unloader independently developed by ZPMC was held in Xuwei Port Area, Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province. The two kiloton class screw ship unloaders developed by this project have a rated production capacity of 1,500 tons/hour, with a maximum capacity of 1,800 tons/hour. Their workboats have a deadweight of 50,000 tons, and their extra deadweight is 70,000 tons. These equipments are installed at the multipurpose berth of No. 2 Harbor Basin in Xuwei Port Area, Lianyungang. On-site component debugging, no-load commissioning and heavy-load commissioning of the project were carried out. Under the heavy-duty commissioning, the total number of operating vessels is 10, and the operating output is about 450,000 tons. The performance of each component and the stability under each working condition are assessed according to the technical requirements, and the maximum capacity reaches 1,983 tons/hour, and the performance of each parameter meets the design requirements.
The project was upgraded and optimized by the company on the basis of the first generation kiloton class environmental protection screw ship unloader that broke the international monopoly. It realized remote control and automatic unattended operation for the first time, which not only improved work efficiency, but also greatly reduced the operation intensity. The completion acceptance marks the success of ZPMC's R&D of the second generation high-efficiency environmentally friendly and intelligent screw ship unloader.
