Recently, ZPMC has launched the JSD6000 deepwater heavy-lift pipelay vessel constructed by it.
The launch will complete the performance and capability tests on vessel navigation, maneuverability, DP, anchor positioning, FMEA and SRtP, laying a solid foundation for the final delivery and commissioning of the project.
On the day of launching, all the sea trial personnel held the flag-raising and oath ceremony to encourage the sense of responsibility and mission of each sea trial personnel and motivate them to strive to complete the task of sea trial with high quality and efficiency.
The JSD6000 Deepwater Heavy-lift Pipelay Vessel has a total length of 215.88m, a width of 49.00m, a depth of 22.40m, a maximum draft of 10.8m, and a living area for 399 people, equipped with a 5,000-ton full-swing crane, J-Lay and S-Lay systems, as well as an internationally advanced 8-point mooring positioning system and DP3 system. It is capable of laying pipes with a diameter of 6-60 inches in water depth up to 3,000m.
The vessel is another important offshore construction equipment built by ZPMC under the guidance of the strategy of strengthening the country by sea. After the vessel is put into operation, it will greatly enhance China's deep sea pipeline laying and marine development capabilities, effectively solve the "blockade" problem of key technical equipment, and get rid of the dependence of offshore oil and gas development in China on foreign equipment.
