Recently, a letter of acceptance was sent from Oslo Port, Norway. Shanghai ZPMC successfully won the bid for the Oslo Port Quay Crane Project in Norway, which is the first time that the Company's port machinery products have entered the Norwegian market.
The Project was tendered on July 3, 2020 and lasted for nearly 10 months. In the face of the severe COVID-19 in Europe, the German subsidiary insisted on the correct operation of epidemic prevention and participated in the bidding with the HAECO. After many technical and business negotiations, the Company won the bid with a score of almost 33% above the second place. This Project is an effective result of the new mode of co-operation between the localized subsidiary and the headquarters, which lays a solid foundation for the Company to further develop the Norwegian port machinery market.
Oslo Port is Norway's largest passenger and freight port, with an annual cargo throughput of over 6 million tons, and is Norway's most important logistics hub. The port has a clear target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 85% by 2030 and is committed to being a zero-emission green port.
