Recently, Zhenhua No. 31 loaded with 5 STSs for loading and unloading containers for Jingtang Port of Tangshan Port in Hebei Province arrived at the port, preparing for installation of STSs. It is known that the terminal, with the coastal line of 945m and yard of 500,000m2, consists of three multi-purpose berths, two of 70,000t and one of 30,000t, making sure the designed annual capacity of 1.2million TEU.
The STSs with Yaskawa electronic control system is supplied by ZPMC, with the front extending distance of 66m, rear extending distance of 20m, lifting height of 46m and lifting capacity of 65t.
The intelligent container terminal of Jingtang Port as the first wholly automatic container terminal in Hebei Province and the key project of Tangshan, since the commencement at the beginning of the year, is under construction at present. It will provide the important support for container handling capacity of 5million TEU of Jingtang Port of Tangshan Port at the end of the 13th Five-year Plan after the completion.
It’s learned that the total investment of the Project is ¥1.894billion and the terminal with the coastal line of 945m and the yard of 500,000m2 commenced in January, 2018. The terminal consists of two 70,000t berths and one 30,000t berth with the designed annual capacity of 1.2million TEU. The terminal will be the 4th wholly automatic container terminal in China after the completion, after Xiamen Ocean Gate, Qingdao Port and Yangshan Port in Shanghai.
The Project with integration of globally advanced automatic container intelligent software system will be constructed with the intelligent tallying system, making sure unmanned, intelligent and clean operation of the STSs, yard and warehouse finally. The Project won three state patents, realizing the innovation and breakthrough on the construction technology of automatic container terminals. The yard is designed with the parallel layout with two reserved lanes for container trucks, with the shortest construction period, lowest cost and highest handling efficiency in automatic terminals at home and abroad.
The wholly automatic dual-box RMGs of a large scale as much as 1/3 in the world are used in the yard, improving the efficiency by more than 50%, compared with the single box RMGs. In the horizontal transportation, the unmanned electric container trucks are used innovatively for one-time straddle transportation with cooperation with ZPMC and Shaanxi Automobile Group, with better energy saving and higher operation efficiency than any other ports in China.
To improve the loading capacity of the Port, Tangshan Port Group completed the automatic restructure of 3 container berths in 2017 with the design capacity of 2.16million TEU on the basis of 4 original special container berths. The 3 berths of Jingtang Port intelligent container terminal are under construction at present and planned to complete and put into operation in 2019. At the time, two new container terminals will be constructed in the Port Basin No. 3, which will be designed and constructed with most advanced automatic and intelligent ideas.
After the automatic restructure of original terminals and construction of new terminals, the container terminals in Jingtang Port will be automatic basically by 2020. Jingtang Port of Tangshan Port will be the first automatic container terminal in Hebei Province, the second in northern ports of China and the fourth in China.
