The deep-water multi-purpose saturation diving supporting vessel manufactured by ZPMC returned to the terminal of Changxing Branch on Dec 4th after the successful sea trial.
All trial staff of ZPMC made adjustment on the test plan and reasonable manpower arrangement on the basis of real time sea conditions to make full use of the limited time in the 36-day sea trial, making sure the maximum working efficiency, with the cooperation from the vessel tester, the representative of the third test party, the design institute and different equipment suppliers. The tests were made successfully in the sea trial, including the speed and vessel performance test, dynamic positioning system test, FMEA test (including 210 test items), test of driver’s comprehensive forebridge and control system, FIFI2 firefighting system test and power system failure test.
The test results meet the requirements of the design technical standards and codes of classification society, which show the vessel owns the excellent seakeeping and operation capacity and super redundant reliability. The vessel, according to the test results, can operate in five dynamic positioning (DP) modes and the power system can add or reduce the diesels in operation according to the real time load state to save the fuel and also can make rapid and automatic repairs or isolation on the equipment in fault to make sure the safe and accurate positioning of the vessel under the condition of shutting on the busbar and 2 propellers in dual-loop power supply. It only takes 43s to recover the dynamic positioning capacity after the power failure of the vessel. The maximum speed of the 3 main propellers can be 15.88 knots. The vessel owns the leading performances, compared with other vessels of the same type.
