First access into European market of ZPMC’s semi-submerged barge transportation

Recently, the vessel section of 16,000t approximately was floated on Zhenhua No. 34 and shipped for the hull-erection in the shipyard of Finland, the first semi-submerged transportation of ZPMC in Europe, indicating the Company’s semi-submerged transportation entering European market.

The vessel section is 168.2m long while the cargo deck of Zhenhua No. 34 is only 168.8m long, which means the front end of the vessel section is only 60cm away from the stern room wall. It’s quite difficult to complete the lifting and loading. The project team made full communication with the user to solve the technical problems and made survey on the vessel section to decide the loading details. The float-on was made successfully after the hard work of 9 hours.

ZPMC has the experience on the transportation, lifting and installation of maritime heavy, large and special cargos and owns 26 deck carriers of more than 50,000t each, including 8 semi-submerged barges, 57 port ships (including 12,000t wholly swing floating crane) and 3 wind power installation barges.
