Successful delivery of 5,000t salvage crane by ZPMC

Dehe, a 5,000t salvage crane by ZPMC, was delivered successfully to Yantai Salvage of Ministry of Transportation in ZPMC Changxing Branch on June 29th. Present at the delivery ceremony were Wanglei, Vice-director of China Rescue and Salvage of Ministry of Transportation, Yang Xiaoren, Director of Yantai Salvage, Huang Qingfeng, President and Deputy-secretary of ZPMC, related leaders and representatives of Shanghai Maritime Safety Administration and classification societies.


Dehe, with the full length of 199m, molded breadth of 47.6m, molded depth of 15m and full load displacement of 75,100t, is the first salvage crane manufactured by ZPMC for Yantai Salvage with the hoisting capacity of 5,000t and 3,000m-deep rescue capacity as well in China. The Crane is the offshore rescue and salvage engineering vessel with the most complete functions and strongest operation capacity in China at present, including the rescue, salvage of sunken vessels and objects as well as different emergencies treatment, whole-body salvage and rapid clearance of large-tonnage immersed objects, hoisting and installation of large blocks, platform modules and jackets as well as other maritime engineering structures, together with supporting for diving operations and platform operations.


Dehe is a large scale revolving deep water self-propulsion salvage crane by ZPMC, second to Zhenhua No. 30, indicating ZPMC’s full mastering of the technology to manufacture such vessels now. The Crane will improve not only the offshore rescue and salvage equipment, but the capacity of salvage, hoisting, emergency treatment and maintaining public security of China as well after the delivery. It can also contribute greatly to the emergency rescue and salvage, offshore emergency support and course safety as well as international public welfare and ocean resource development.
