The performance test was made on the pile guide of the 2nd generation independently researched and developed by ZPMC on June 9th, testing various functions and winning the appreciation of users and supervisors. The pile guide of the 2nd generation is installed on 2，000t Longyuan Zhenhua No. 3, the largest self-elevating wind power construction platform in the world at present, which will be put into actual operation in the Longyuan Dafeng Phase II Wind Power Plant in Jiangsu Province after a series of offshore tests.

The pile guide is one of core components of the offshore self-elevating wind power construction platform to make sure the verticality of the foundation piles in the wind power construction. ZPMC started the independent research and development on the pile guide in 2010 and has manufactured 5 pile guides successfully until now.

Compared with the pile guide of the 1st generation, the new one has better performance in making sure the verticality. As is well known, it requires putting the foundation pile of thousands of tons into the soft soil at the seabed with the requirements on the verticality of less than 3‰ in the offshore wind power construction. To make sure the verticality at first attempt, it’s quite important to make correction in the process. The new pile guide can, after holding the pile, make movement in four directions with the maximum correction force of 100t. It can also make correction at any direction with the joint operation of the oil cylinder, such as that in slope direction, which is leading in the globe.  

Meanwhile, the pile claw of the equipment can be used for the steel cylinder pile of 5-8m in the diameter and self-weight of not more than 1,500t, featuring wider application scope, semi-automatic operation and higher capacity to resist the salt fog and earthquake.

It’s worth mentioning that the localization rate of 90% above in the core components of the pile guide of the 2nd generation, making sure excellent performance and highly reliable quality, indicating the leading design and manufacturing capacity in such field in the world. It will promote ZPMC to explore oversea wind power construction market and to make independent research and development in the domestic offshore wind power equipment.
