Shanghai Brand Certification Conference and World Accreditation Day Promotion Opening Ceremony was held in Shanghai Jinjiang Hall on June 7th. On the Conference, the first 53 corporations won the certificate of Shanghai Brand, of which ZPMC won the Certificate No. 0001. Present at the Conference were Xu Kunlin, Deputy Mayor of Shanghai and Bo Yumin, Chief Engineer of Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China (CNCA). Yan Yunfu, Chief Engineer of ZPMC, received the certificate on behalf of the Company at the Conference.

The Shanghai Brand certification is intended to be the voluntary third party certification leading in China and the world, which is defined expressly to be high-end brand certification without regional restriction by CNCA. ZPMC started the first Shanghai Brand certification officially in August, 2017 and completed the product standard publication, type certification, factory inspection and management system assessment of 3E Quayside Container Crane with the thorough cooperation of QHSE Department, Onshore Heavy Industry Design Institute, Standardization and Informatization Management Department, Changxing Branch and Process Department. Therefore, ZPMC won the certificate of Shanghai Brand as one of the first 53 corporations to pass the certification, including LaoFengxiang, DHS, Brightdairy and Shanghai Airport.

The certification started in 2017 by Shanghai government to carry out the specific requirements of CPC Central Committee and State Council on quality improvement, creating Service in Shanghai, Manufacturing in Shanghai, Shopping in Shanghai and Culture in Shanghai as well as formulating Shanghai Standards to establish the famous Shanghai Brand. The Shanghai Brand international certification association, consisting of 15 domestic and international certification authorities, including Tilva, Shanghai Quality Management Institute, Lowe’s and Intertek, is established as the platform for certification system construction and implementation of Shanghai Brand. It is planned to publish a batch of product standards and service standards leading in China and advanced in the world, making the Shanghai brand standard system with local features and quality before 2020. Meanwhile, a batch of high quality products and services with marketing value and local urban culture will be cultivated, making the Shanghai brand system in manufacturing and service.
