ZPMC held the 4 parties certification ceremony for 5,000t derrick pipelay vessel “Dehe” for Yantai Salvage Bureau in Changxing Branch on June 1st. Present at the ceremony were representatives of Yantai Salvage Bureau, ZPMC, Shanghai Maritime Safety Administration, China Classification Society and related representatives of ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) and Shanghai Bestway Institute.

Dehe is one of maritime projects with largest difficulty and highest technology in the world at present and the vessel project with the largest investment of the salvage system of Ministry of Transport. The vessel is equipped with the internationally advanced DP3 dynamic positioning system, 10-point anchoring positioning system and underwater 3,000m salvage equipment. At the stern was a large maritime crane with fixed hoisting capacity of 5,000t and swing hoisting capacity of 3,500t. The S-shape pipelay equipment and related underwater robot system port are also equipped to the vessel. The vessel, featuring multiple purposes and wide application, can be used for rescue and salvage for shipwreck and sunk cargos. The vessel can be used for the emergency, such as the whole salvage of sunk bodies of large tonnage. It can also be used to remove obstacles rapidly, hoisting of maritime structures of large blocks, platform modules and jackets. It also can provide the support for platform operation and diving.

The successful project means ZPMC has mastered the overall manufacturing technology of such vessel, making further improvement on the core competence in high-end maritime service market.
