The second batch of equipment by ZPMC for AMP Terminals Costa Rica Project arrived at Moin Container Terminal recently. Tangheng, Ambassador to Costa Rica and Zhouqi, Vice President of ZPMC were present at the arrival ceremony at the invitation.
On the ceremony, Tangheng listened to the introduction by Stanmus, Project Manager of AMP Group on the terminal construction and the operation plan as well as Zhouqi's introduction on the history, business scope and development planning of ZPMC. Tang also made site investigation on the terminal to learn about the operation of related equipment.
Tang expressed that the Embassy to Costa Rica wished to keep close communication and exchange with corporations in the country, to promote the cooperation for mutual benefits under the framework of the Belt and Road development and to provide services and support for China-invested corporations to go out.
The Moin Container Terminal was constructed in 2015 with the total investment of $1billion, of which the first phase will be completed in 2019 as scheduled. The Terminal will undertake 60% of the import and export cargos of Costa Rica after the completion. ZPMC signed the supply contract with AMP Group in 2015 to provide STSs and RTGs. The first batch of the equipment, 3 STSs and 7 RTGs arrived at the terminal in February, 2018 and the pre-delivery has been completed.
