Contract on 5 STSs between ZPMC and Hamburg CTB Terminal, Germany

ZPMC and HHLA Group Germany signed the contract on 5 dual-elevating STSs for Hamburg CTB Terminal in Changxing Branch on May 15th. Present at the signing ceremony were Jens Hansen, Executive Director of HHLA and Huang Qingfeng, President and Vice Secretary of ZPMC.


Huang expressed appreciation to HHLA for the long term support in the signing ceremony. ZPMC has a long cooperation with HHLA. HHLA purchased the port machinery of ZPMC in 1999. Huang expressed that ZPMC valued and cherished the cooperation with HHLA, the remarkable improvement had been made in the automatic terminal in recent years and the EZ electronic control system researched and developed independently by ZPMC had been used successfully in two automatic terminals of Qingdao Port and Yangshan Port as well as VADO

Automatic Terminal in Italy. Huang wished for more exchange and cooperation in different fields and ZPMC would continue to provide the equipment and services of high quality to meet requirements of HHLA.


Jens Hansen expressed the appreciation on the long term support from ZPMC. He expressed that ZPMC, to HHLA, meant not only the cooperation relation but the partnership. HHLA CTA would have no present high operation efficiency in case of no equipment and services of high quality from ZPMC. He added that HHLA would take the remote control on STS into consideration in the future to develop for the intelligent integration of equipment and services and expected the cooperation in new fields of both parties.


HHLA, as a large logistics and terminal company in Germany, owns three terminals of CTA, CTB and CTT in Hamburg. So far, ZPMC has provided 37 STSs to CTA, CTB and CTT of HHLA, the long-term good partner, winning the recognition of Germany users with the quality and services of ZPMC. The STSs in the new contract have long extending distance and more hoisting height, which shall be supplied in different batches. The first STS will be delivered at the end of November, 2019, then, one STS for every two months.


The representatives from HHLA visited Changxing Branch on the day, singing high praise on the achievements of ZPMC on fine manufacturing, intelligent manufacturing and Industry 4.0. They visited the STS remote control room of Maersk (MSK), Morocco specially, appreciating the application of EZ electronic control system in overseas projects.


Thomas Lütje, Sales General Manager of HHLA, partial leaders of ZPMC and related responsible persons of Port Machinery Group were also present at the signing ceremony.
