The wind power construction platform, Longyuan Zhenhua No. 3 of 2,000t, researched and developed independently by ZPMC, was delivered  for operation in Nantong Jiangsu on May 18th. It indicated the localization of large wind power installation platform after breaking the foreign technical monopoly, providing the support on the equipment for the offshore wind power industry in China.

The offshore wind power construction platform, or offshore wind power installation vessel, is intended for the transportation and installation of offshore wind fan and foundation. The four legs of the platform in the seabed can support and fix the vessel body, making the stable platform free from the waves, which is quite necessary for the successful installation of the offshore wind power.

The delivered vessel, with the length of 100.8m, the width of 43.2m and moulded depth of 8.4m, is a multi-purpose self-elevating offshore wind power construction platform for hoisting, piling and installation of large equipment.

ZPMC, adhering to the green and sustainable development ideas, made independent research and design of Longyuan Zhenhua No. 3, another powerful tool for the development and utilization of new energies. The platform was manufactured with more than 10 innovative techniques, including largest hoisting capacity in the world of 2,000t of double hooks maximally to lift and turn in the air the 6MW offshore wind fan foundation easily, lifting height of 120m, largest height of the present self-elevating wind power construction platform in the world, DP-1 dynamic positioning system to keep quite still the whole platform in the roaring water, 2-layer single pile guide for piling of single pile and wind fan lifting as well, maximum underwater operation depth of 50m, a new depth of the offshore wind power operation in China. Meanwhile, the vessel can provide space for quantities of wind fan equipment and accommodation of 120 people. It is considered as the offshore giant at present for the loading area of 3,000m2, on which the offshore wind power construction team can station easily.

After struggling for nearly 10 years, ZPMC is leading in the offshore wind power site construction, design and construction of offshore booster stations and construction of offshore wind power foundation cylinder in China and in the world. ZPMC initialized various wind power installation platforms, including independently researched and developed Longyuan Zhenhua No. 3, as well as many piling techniques in the world. ZPMC will make resources integration to provide the life cycle services of the investment, development, manufacturing, construction and post maintenance of the wind power plant and to promote continuously the quality development of high efficiency, quality and reliability as well as low cost of the offshore wind power construction.
