“Zhenhua 27”, loaded with 2 STSs for ICTSI, Honduras and 3 STSs for Huston, USA, set sail from the terminal of ZPMC Changxing Branch on May 12th.

One of the 3 STSs for Huston, USA, is equipped with the remote control system consisting of 13 cameras, VAS container truck positioning system, SPS vessel scanning system, LPS electronic anti-swing system as well as trolley and gantry magnetic induction positioning system. It is one typical STS with the remote control system at present, which is also the first STS with remote control system attempted by Bayport Huston.

Such remote control system is researched and developed independently by ZPMC, with which, the operator can operate in the remote operation cab. The operator can improve the work efficiency in the comfortable and convenient working conditions. The unmanned working conditions in the STS operation zone can make sure the safety of the operators and save the safety device for the operators on the STS as well. Multiple cameras can provide the operator with a wider view, improving the automation of STS greatly with the assistance of various auxiliary systems.

With increasingly mature R&D of the remote control system by ZPMC, the system is put into operation in SAPT Hutchison Whampoa Limited (HWL), Pakistan and IPS, Saudi Arabia. Winning high reputation from the users and using experience, HWL Pakistan purchased another 3 STSs from ZPMC.
