Recently, the last batch of 2 equipments of the 56 automated rail crane project provided by the company for users of PSA Tuas Terminal in Singapore obtained the delivery certificate. So far, the project has been delivered to users on time and put into operation.
The project lasted nearly two years and was delivered in 10 batches. On July 18, 2020, the first batch of 6 rail cranes arrived at the user terminal. As the project adopts automatic software and hardware system, the number of units in the project is large and it is difficult. All the personnel on the delivery site put into intense unloading and commissioning, and the first batch of 2 units were delivered on April 9, 2021, which created favorable conditions for subsequent batch delivery.
The project equipment is a single cantilever rail crane with ASC function. It is specially designed by the company to match the new layout of Tuas Wharf. It adopts the most advanced control technology and design scheme at present, and has high complete-built unit performance and dynamic stiffness. It realizes the working ability of the track crane in the matching exchange area at the end of the yard. In addition, the design team adopted image recognition technology and network security technology for the first time in key systems, which further improved the operating efficiency of equipment and fully guaranteed the security of system data.
During the nearly two years of the whole project, the on-site delivery team overcame difficulties and ensured the project delivery schedule under the severe epidemic situation at home and abroad.
PSA Tuas Automation Terminal Project in Singapore is a super port construction project planned by Singapore government. In March, 2019, Singapore PSA and ZPMC signed the first batch of equipment procurement contracts for Tuas Automation Terminal, including 20 double-trolley automatic quay cranes and 56 automatic rail cranes. At present, 16 quay cranes have been delivered to PSA users. After the project is completed, it will become the largest fully automated wharf in the world.
